Home to Karnak and Luxor Temples, the Valley of the Kings, and the tomb of King Tut, Luxor is steeped in ancient history. (To get to Luxor, you can either take a 1-hour flight from Cairo or a 10-hour drive by car.)

Aswan, a peaceful city along the Nile, is famous for its temples like Abu Simbel and Philae. It offers a quieter, more intimate experience of ancient Egyptian culture and history. (Aswan is a 1.5-hour flight from Cairo, or about a 12-hour drive.)

MEDITERRANEAN COAST- ALEXANDRIA

Alexandria, Egypt’s coastal treasure, is steeped in rich history, once home to the legendary Lighthouse of Alexandria (Pharos), one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The city also boasts the remains of the Great Library, the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, and a preserved Roman and Greek Theater. (Alexandria is just a 2.5-hour drive from Cairo, or a short 1-hour flight.)

RED SEA COAST

The Red Sea coast is a haven for divers, beach lovers, and water sports enthusiasts, offering clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and world-class resorts. Popular destinations like Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, and Gouna provide everything from luxury resorts to thrilling underwater exploration, while Dahab offers a more laid-back experience. (Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada are about a 5-hour drive from Cairo, or you can fly in 1 hour. Dahab is a 6-hour drive.)

SINAI PENINSULA

The Sinai Peninsula is known for its rugged beauty, spiritual significance, and vibrant dive sites. From the beaches of Sharm El Sheikh to the historic Mount Sinai and St. Catherine’s Monastery, Sinai offers a diverse range of experiences. (Sharm El Sheikh is about a 5-hour drive from Cairo; Mount Sinai and St. Catherine’s Monastery can be reached from there in about 2 hours.)

WESTERN DESERT- WHITE AND BLACK DESERTS
